Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has urged students across the country to take responsibility for their roles and focus on their duties rather than engaging in baseless criticism, according to a report by Radio Pakistan on Sunday.
Call for Self-Responsibility Among Youth
During the inauguration of the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in Bahawalpur, Gen Munir addressed students from various universities. He emphasized the importance of self-responsibility, encouraging them to concentrate on their academic and professional growth instead of getting involved in unnecessary criticism.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Gen Munir reaffirmed the army’s commitment to empowering the youth, recognizing their role in shaping Pakistan’s future. He stressed the importance of education and skill development to help students contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress.

The army chief has previously warned about social media being used to spread anarchy and false narratives targeting the armed forces. The military has taken a strong stance against misinformation campaigns, highlighting how such actions undermine national stability.

In an earlier address to students in Rawalpindi, Gen Munir underscored the importance of unity, patriotism, and national values. He highlighted that Pakistan is a blessing from Allah Almighty, urging the youth to remain steadfast in their beliefs and honor the sacrifices of their ancestors.
He also reaffirmed the army’s resolve to eliminate elements that support terrorism and push false narratives against the state’s actions.
Military Initiatives for Education & Development
During his visit to Bahawalpur, Gen Munir also inaugurated Innovista Cholistan and the Integrated Combat Simulator Arena. Which aim to advance medical education, information technology, and combat readiness.
Additionally, he addressed officers and troops at the Bahawalpur Cantonment, emphasizing that rigorous training remains a defining attribute of the Pakistan Army in overcoming modern warfare challenges.
