In a YouTube video, Dr. Nene recalls a conversation he had with Anushka Sharma and explains why the couple decided to move out of India.
Dr. Nene speaks highly of Virat Kohli, saying, “I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times. He’s just a decent human being.” He goes on to explain that during a conversation with Anushka, they shared that the couple was considering relocating to London. Dr. Nene believes the decision stems from the couple’s inability to enjoy their success in India.
He adds, “Anything they do attracts attention, and we almost become isolated.” Dr. Nene reflects on how fame and constant public scrutiny can make daily life challenging. He points out that even simple moments like dinner or lunch can become intrusive due to fans asking for selfies. While he clarifies that the selfies are not necessarily a bad thing, he acknowledges that it becomes overwhelming over time.
Dr. Nene emphasizes, “I get along with everyone; I’m bindaas. But even there, it becomes challenging.” He mentions that for his wife, constant attention can be a problem. However, he speaks fondly of Virat and Anushka, calling them lovely people who just want to raise their children normally, away from the limelight.
