Islamabad Police have arrested a man accused of harassing and attempting to kidnap TikTok personality Samiya Hijab. The suspect, identified as Hassan Zahid from Lahore, was taken into custody on Monday after a complaint was registered at Shalimar Police Station.
Harassment and Threats Reported
According to the FIR, Zahid had been stalking Samiya for several days. He reportedly sent her unsolicited gifts and pressured her to accept a marriage proposal. When she refused, he allegedly escalated his behavior, following her to her residence and threatening her with violence if she did not comply.
Samiya stated that the threats became more aggressive after her repeated rejections. “He told me he would kill me if I did not agree,” she recalled in her complaint.
Attempted Abduction
The situation took a dangerous turn when Zahid appeared at Samiya’s residence. She recounted in a video statement that he rang the doorbell and demanded she leave with him. He then allegedly snatched her mobile phone and fled to his car. When Samiya tried to retrieve it, he forcibly harassed her and attempted to abduct her.

Her family quickly reported the incident, leading to swift action by the police.
Police Action and Investigation
Police confirmed Zahid’s arrest and stated that an investigation is underway to gather further evidence. Authorities assured that strict legal action will be taken to ensure justice and protect victims of harassment.
This case has once again highlighted the growing issue of online and offline harassment faced by social media influencers in Pakistan.
