Muzaffarabad is the cultural and financial capital of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan.It lies on the banks of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers. By 1999, the population had risen to almost 750,000. Muzaffarabad is named after its founder, Sultan Muhammad Muzaffar Khan, who belonged to the Bamba Tribe. Common dialects spoken in Muzaffarabad are Punjabi and Kashmiri.
