Hurmat has begun exploring its central character’s journey beyond the walls of her conservative home. The first two episodes introduce Hurmat’s restricted upbringing, her dreams of higher education and her first steps into university life, while Shahveer Jafry’s character Tabish also becomes part of her changing world.
The HUM TV drama stars Dananeer Mobeen and Shahveer Jafry in the lead roles. Written by Kashif Anwar and directed by Nadeem Siddiqui, the drama is produced under Momina Duraid Productions.

Hurmat Faces Strict Family Restrictions
The opening episode establishes the difficult environment in which Hurmat has grown up. Her father, played by Ali Tahir, follows extremely strict rules and believes that keeping his daughter away from the outside world will protect the family’s honour.
Hurmat has limited access to the world outside her home and even lives in a household without internet access. Despite these restrictions, she remains determined to continue her education.

Her academic success becomes an important turning point. After Hurmat achieves excellent results in her B.Com studies, the question of university education becomes unavoidable. Her father does not want her to continue studying, but her supportive uncle refuses to let her ambitions end there.
He secretly helps secure her university admission and becomes one of the few people who encourages Hurmat to make her own choices.

Hurmat Finally Enters University Life
Episode 2 takes the story into a completely different environment as Hurmat finally leaves her home and enters university.
Before she leaves, her father reminds her of everything he has taught her about family honour. He also makes it clear that he never wanted her to attend university and only agreed because of her uncle’s insistence.

The contrast becomes one of the most important elements of the episode. Hurmat has spent years inside a highly controlled household, and she must now navigate a busy university campus and a completely unfamiliar social environment.
Her uncle offers a more reassuring perspective. He tells Hurmat that he will stand by her even if she makes mistakes. His support gives her confidence as she begins experiencing a world that she previously could only imagine.
Shahveer Jafry’s Tabish Enters Hurmat’s Story
The second episode also gives viewers more of Shahveer Jafry’s character, Tabish. His presence begins to connect with Hurmat’s new life as she tries to establish her own identity.

Hurmat makes it clear that she wants to live according to her own choices rather than allowing another person to control her. Her desire for independence adds another layer to the story as her university journey begins.

The episodes have therefore laid the foundation for a significant transformation in Hurmat’s life. She is no longer limited to the environment she grew up in, but she also has to learn how to handle the freedom and challenges that come with entering the outside world.

What Lies Ahead for Hurmat
The first two episodes have established the major conflict while leaving several questions unanswered. Hurmat’s journey has only just begun, and her transition from a strictly controlled home to university life is expected to bring new relationships and challenges.
Dananeer Mobeen gets the opportunity to portray Hurmat at different stages of her emotional journey, while Shahveer Jafry’s Tabish is gradually becoming an important part of the narrative.
With Hurmat now stepping into university and beginning to discover her own identity, the drama has opened a new chapter that could significantly change the direction of her story.
