Dirilis Ertuğrul is the story of the father of Osman 1, founder of the Ottoman Empire. The plot is set in the 13th century and centres on the life of Ertuğrul.
Suleyman Shah is the leader of the Kayi tribe that wants to migrate to another place where they can have a better life. Shah wants to give a better future to his people but doesn’t want to make quick decisions without considering all the side effects. He sends his only trustworthy son Ertuğrul on a quest of finding new land for his men. Bearing the burden of his tribe, Ertuğrul and his three men set on a voyage of one of the most historical events in human history that ultimately leads to the foundation of the great Ottoman Empire.
Who is Esra Bilgiç Aka Halime Hatun?
Esra Bilgiç born 14th October 1992, is a Turkish actress and model who played Halime Hatun in the historical adventure Turkish television series Diriliş Ertuğrul. She is currently the female lead in the Turkish crime-drama TV series Ramo, with co-stars Murat Yıldırım.
Esra Bilgiç started her career in 2014 with Diriliş Ertuğrul which was first telecasted on TRT 1. Esra Bilgiç appeared as Halime Hatun in the series, but in 2018 she left Diriliş Ertuğrul because of the changes in the new season.
Esra Bilgiç got married to a professional Turkish footballer, Gökhan Töre on 21st October 2017 and unfortunately the couple got divorced on 17th June 2019. Esra Bilgiç studied the subject of “International Relations” at Bilkent International University, Istanbul, and is currently studying law at İstanbul Şehir University.
