PM Imran Khan gets vote of confidence in NA

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday obtained the Vote of Confidence in the National Assembly, receiving 178 votes in his favor.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser announced the results.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tabled the resolution in the lower house on which voting was held. The premier needed 172 votes to win the confidence vote.

The National Assembly session stared at the schedule time of 1215 hours for vote of confidence on Prime Minister Imran Khan. NA Speaker Asad Qaiser is chairing the 30th session of the NA which was summoned by the President on the advice of the prime minister.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had sought to seek the vote of confidence from the assembly.
