China Geely Officially Launches Electric Cars in Pakistan

Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely Auto has officially entered Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market through a partnership with Bestway Group. The company plans to introduce two battery electric vehicles under its Geely Galaxy lineup during the third quarter of 2026.

The announcement marks another major development in Pakistan’s evolving EV sector as international automakers continue expanding their presence in the country.

Geely has appointed Bestway Group as the exclusive importer and distributor of its Galaxy brand in Pakistan. Through this collaboration, the company aims to strengthen its position in South Asia’s emerging electric vehicle market.

The Galaxy EX5 targets families and buyers interested in compact electric SUVs, while the EX2 focuses on urban commuters and first time electric vehicle users looking for a smaller city car.

Both vehicles will initially arrive in Pakistan as Completely Built Up units before any future localization plans.

The company expects to officially launch the two EV models during Q3 2026.

Bestway Group to manage local operations

Under the agreement, Bestway Group will handle vehicle homologation, dealership expansion, customer support, sales operations, and after sales services in Pakistan.

The partnership gives Geely access to an existing automotive network after Bestway Group acquired Al Haj Automotive.

Industry experts believe this infrastructure may help the Chinese automaker establish operations more efficiently in the local market.

The launch also reflects increasing competition among global EV manufacturers entering Pakistan as demand for electric mobility continues to grow.

Pakistan EV market continues expanding

Pakistan’s electric vehicle sector has recently attracted multiple international automobile companies introducing EV models for local consumers.

Growing fuel prices, environmental concerns, and interest in modern technology continue encouraging buyers to explore electric mobility options.
