Rupee continues upward trend against dollar

Exchange rate of Pak Rupee weakened by Rs 2.76 against the US Dollar in the interbank trading

Exchange rate of Pak Rupee weakened by Rs 2.76 against the US Dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs 202.82 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 200.06.       

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 202 and Rs 204 respectively.       

The price of Euro appreciated by Rs 1.78 and closed at Rs 216.66 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 214.88.       

Meanwhile, Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.52, whereas an increase of Rs 1.85 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 252.91 as compared to its last closing of Rs 251.06.       

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 76 paisas to close at Rs 55.22 and Rs 54.07 respectively.
