It is after 13 years that any member of the Royal family ha visited Pakistan. Last it was Princess Diana who wowed the Pakistanis and made them fall in love with her. This time around it is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Willaim and Kate Middleton landed in Islamabad Monday night for a five-day visit of Pakistan and since have been all over the news. They kickstarted their trip by first meeting the prime minister who also happens to be Prince William’s old friend. They had lunch at the Prime Minister House and rekindled old relations as Imran Khan and Jemima Goldsmith were old friends of Princess Diana. Prince Willaim also recalled meeting the much younger Imran Khan alongside his mother. (Now that’s something we didn’t know)

Their next stop was a school in Islamabad. They met young students and had fun interacting with them. Many of the students shared how they were fans of Duke’s Late mother. It is being said that they visited the school first to bring to light the importance of the education of girls. Education is an important constituent of any country’s success and that is exactly what the royal couple wanted to promote.

Their next destination was a trip to the northern areas. The royal couple is currently visiting Chitral where they were welcomed enthusiastically and given souvenirs as soon as they landed. Some even drew similarities between the duchess and the Princess of Wales as they wore a similarly styled embroidered jacket and a hat. Both looked absolutely adorable and excited.

In the next few days, they will be visiting Pakistan’s second-largest city, Lahore. We are sure they’ll enjoy the city which has such a rich heritage and culture. So far the royal couple seems royally busy and we can’t get over how adorbs they look! We truly hope that they enjoy this trip to the fullest and leave with some amazing stories about Pakistan and its people.
