In an innovative move to enhance the experience of pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, a smart robot service has been launched in Madinah. This cutting-edge initiative by the Ministry of Health branch in Madinah province is set to provide invaluable assistance to the visitors of this holy site.
Revolutionizing Pilgrim Assistance
Strategically positioned in the courtyard adjacent to the Prophet’s Mosque, the robot is designed to offer a range of services aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of pilgrims. The smart robot is equipped to display and broadcast educational messages, guidance, and health instructions in over 96 languages, catering to the diverse linguistic needs of pilgrims from around the globe.
Health and Safety at the Forefront
The introduction of the robot is part of a broader effort by the Ministry of Health to provide comprehensive support during the Hajj season. In addition to the robot service, the Health Ministry’s branch in Madinah has deployed volunteer and awareness teams to assist pilgrims. These teams, comprising 220 male and female volunteers organized into over 12 teams, work tirelessly around the clock to ensure that pilgrims receive the necessary health and emergency services.
Widespread Support Across Key Locations
The volunteer teams are not limited to the Prophet’s Mosque; they extend their services to several critical locations. These include the access roads to the mosque, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Haramain Train Station, and other significant mosques such as Quba, Khandaq, Sayyid Al-Shuhada, and Miqat Dhul-Hulaifah. This extensive coverage ensures that pilgrims receive continuous support throughout their journey.
