The biggest concert of the year is finally happening!

Ever since news of Junoon performing live after more than a decade first broke, we have literally been trembling with excitement. And why shouldn’t we? The biggest concert of the year is finally happening and we just can’t believe it! Once again, we will get the chance to relive old memories and enjoy the power-packed performances of the Sufi maestros against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful cities in Pakistan – Karachi!

Sooper Junoon Concert

Many rightly believe that this concert is going to mark the beginning of a new era of music within Pakistan as it not only features Junoon, but also an amazing line up of extremely talented artists who will be opening for the band. Since Peek Freans Sooper has, historically, always been involved in initiatives that were designed to promote a positive and progressive image of Pakistan, it comes as no surprise that, with this venture too, the brand will be highlighting upcoming and emerging talents.

News of the opening acts has already begun to spread like wildfire. They include our very favorite, Pashto music band, Khumariyaan, with their soulful music, emerging music band Tamaasha, who rose to prominence with their spellbinding performances at the Season 2 of the Pepsi Battle of The Bands, the Lyari Underground, who quickly rose to the top with their original hip hop lyrics and compositions and last, but not least, the multi-genre music ensemble, Sounds of Kolachi.

The date of the concert is also no accident as it represents the birth anniversary of the founder of our nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. And what a way to celebrate Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday than to have some of Pakistan’s best ever bands, both new and old, perform live for their fans! Peek Freans Sooper is giving us the chance to sing at the top of our lungs and witness history in the making with some of the best musical acts Pakistan has to offer. We definitely cannot wait!
