The exciting festive holidays are probably the most awaited dates on the calendar; performing the rituals, eating high octane feasts, spending quality time with family – friends and most importantly getting Eidi from elders make Eidevery bit of fun and memorable. Likewise, the entertainment industry leaves no stone unturned to entertain us by bringing up fun-filled, Eid special telefilms that keep us entertained; giving us a break from the routine drama serials.
While researching for this article, Bollywood superstar MadhuriDixit’s hit song ‘Eik Do Teen Chaar’ came to my mind. Why? This time it’s not just one, two, or three but 13 telefilms are lined up to make our Eid entertaining. We at Trending in Social have compiled a list of telefilms that you can enjoy.
1) Ghan Chakkar
The beautiful Mahnoor Baloch pairs up yet again with AijazAslam. Not just that, the dynamic duo Aslam and FaysalQureshi will be seen together after a long time. The basic plot revolves around two men (Aijaz and Faysal) in search of a job. Aijaz finally gets one at Mahnoor’s place; her family consists of two crazy children and an aunt played by Hina Dilapazir. The twist in the turn comes when Faysal woos Dilpazir’s character to be a part of that family. Ghan Chakkar is written by Misbah Ali Syed and directed by Iftikhar Iffi. It will air on Eid day 5, on ARY Digital.
2) Wedding Virus
Heartthrob Muneeb Butt and the stunning Hiba Bukhari pair up for this quirky comedy. The story unfolds with Butt and Bukhariall set to get married. The family wants the wedding to be on a grand scale but corona comes in between. It also features veterans like Rubina Ashraf, Waseem Abbass, and Gul-e-Rana. Wedding Virus will air on Eid Day 3, only at ARY Digital.
3) Uff Yeh Biwiyan Reloaded
Nida Yasir returned to acting after 13 years in Eid-ul-Fitr special telefilm ‘Uff Ye Biwiyan’. Starring Yasir Nawaz and ShaistaLodhi the project turned out to be a smashing hit. The makers are back with the favorite trio with a reloaded version that features actress Sahiba Afzal. It would be interesting to see how Nida and Shaista give a tough time to Yasir who is trying to woo Sahiba. Uff Yeh Biwiyan Reloaded is written by Misbah Ali Syed and directed by Kahsif Saleem.
4) Shaadi Hai Impossible
The real-life couple Hina Altaf and Agha Ali will create magic on screen. Shaadi Hai Impossible is about this young couple who decide to get married. The bone of contention here is Maria Wasti who doesn’t want Aagha to marry Hina. The promos have already created a high buzz on social media. The cast also includes Noor-ul-Hassan, Saba Faisal and Kashif Mehmood. It will air on Eid day 2 only at ARY Digital.
5) Absolutely Knot
Vasay Chaudhry returns to acting after 6 years in Six Sigma’s ‘Absolutely Knot’. The narrative deals with the story of a young girl (Kubra Khan) and a mature man played by Vasay. They are cousins and are forced to get married by their families. Later on, they disclose that they both like someone else; they plan to break their engagement. The telefilm has an ensemble cast that includes Waseem Abbas, Hina Bayat, Asad Siddique, Saba Faisal, Rabya Kulsoom, Zara Nadeem, and Shamim Hilaly. It will air on Eid day 2 on ARY Digital.
6) Mr. and Mrs. Chooza
The telefilm marks the on screen pairing of Saboor Aly and Shahroz Sabzwari. It sends across an important message that Qurbani isn’t just about showoff; it’s about the piety from us that reaches Allah. Shahroz plays a geek who once brought a goat that wasn’t good (health-wise). Hence his neighborhood poked fun at him and started calling him ‘Chooza’. He tries to impress everyone by purchasing a camel on Eid. The trouble starts when the camel gets stolen and the search for it begins. The telefilmalso features Ayaz Sammo. It will air on Eid day 1 on ARY Digital.
7) Pyar Mein Blind
The Shazia Wajahat directorial features Shehzad Sheikh and Kinza Hashmi in lead roles. Shehzad tells an elaborate lie to get a monthly amount from a firm. He acts blind and convinces his friend to act as his wife. It looks like a joyride that will click with the masses in a big way. Watch Pyar Mein Blind on Eid day 4 only at ARY Digital.
8) Nawab & Sons
HUM Tv’s Nawab & Sons is a tale of an ailing father (JavedSheikh). His children (Yasir Nawaz and Azfar Rehman) want Sheikh to die so that they could get their due share from the Haweli. The twist in the tale comes when a beautiful nurse (Sana Fakhar) is appointed to take care of the ailing father. Azfar tries to bribe Sana that she should convince the old man to transfer all his property to their children. Resultantly he will marry her. The telefilm will air on Eid Day 2 only on HUM TV.
9) Shadi Ka Hero
Muneeb Butt and Ushna Shah reunite in this romantic comedy. Muneeb plays a flamboyant lover who leaves no chance to woo her. Her parents get shocked when he seeks their permission to marry Ushna. Is Muneeb faking Ushnah or he loves her? The cast also includes Seemi Pasha, Noor-Ul-Hassan, Rimha Ahmed & Hamza Tariq. Watch Shadi ka Hero on Eid Day 1 only at Hum TV.
10) Akkar Bakkar
Yet another romantic story featuring Muneeb Butt and HinaAltaf. It is supported by Hina Dilpazir and Sana Askari. Muneebloves Hina and wants to get married to her at any cost. Her mother and sister are looking for his proposals. The comic portions are the mainstay of the enterprise. Watch Akkar Bakkaron Eid day 1 only on HUM TV.
11) Hona Tha Pyar
Arslan Naseer is the new toast of the fraternity. Post the super success of ‘Chupke Chupke’ he will next be seen with SanamJhung, Bushra Ansari and Behroz Sabzwari in ‘Hona Tha Pyar’. Naseer plays a selfish guy who seeks to marry a rich girl and spend his life happily. He tries to pull such antics with Jhung. Will he succeed or not, find out on Eid day 1 only on HUM TV.
12) Romantic Razia
Hina Altaf plays a bubbly girl whose aim in life is just to get married and spend her honeymoon in Swat. An arranged marriage is set up with Azfar Rehman. Again, it’s not an easy journey for them as Azfar’s sister played by Salma Zaffardoesn’t agree with this proposal. Romantic Razia is supported by Samina Ahmed and Hina Dilpazir. 13) Daadi Ka Daamad
Finally the last from the list is Daadi Ka Daamad that features Affan Waheed and Madiha Imam. The story revolves around a happy-go-lucky girl who isn’t willing to marry Affan. Her Daadihowever likes the groom and there’s a connection. Resultantly the bride decides to run away. Directed by Saima Waseem and written by Sumera Fazal, the cast also includes Hina Hayat, Farhan Ali Agha and Manzoor Qureshi. Watch it on Eid day 2 only at Geo Entertainment.
