Collaboration between Momina Mustehsan and Abbas Hasan is in the works

[Monday 10th October’16]: A collaboration between Coke Studio darling Momina Mustehsan and French pop sensation Abbas Hasan is in the works. The pair have been working tirelessly on a new song to be called Na Janoon. In true Abbas Hasan style, the song is meant to be a “dreamy love song” duet between the two and is likely to also feature the star singing some verses in French.

Momina Mustehsan recently shot to fame after her collaboration with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on Coke Studio and has subsequently been doing a number of collaborations.  Already a familiar face at Bollywood awards shows, the London-based Abbas Hasan is in preparation for his East Asian tour as an ambassador for the upcoming Pan-Asian International Film and Music Awards (PAIFMA) and may be coming to meet his Pakistani fans in the near future. His most recent collaboration was with Shahrukh Khan’s official DJ, DJ Khushi.

Subsequently the multilingual star toured across Europe alongside Bollywood songstress Shreya Ghoshal, and his recent video “Away” starring Humaima Malick received international acclaim through press from India to Canada. The song is produced by his mentor Rishi Rich, best known for his work with artists including Jay Sean and Britney Spears.

Abbas is already rumoured to be working on further Bollywood related projects, after starring in a previous Indian film with a Filmfare award-winning director. After multiple chart-topping singles, a film career in the works and an ever growing global fan following, the press are already hailing Abbas Hasan as the next big thing, to which Abbas replies “it’s flattering and I think every artist has their own soul and their own journey. For me it’s all about creating art and taking on projects that inspire me.”
