Karachi’s ongoing hot weather spell is expected to persist for the next two days, with temperatures possibly reaching 38°C, according to a weather department spokesperson on Monday.
Despite the rising temperatures, the seabreeze is expected to continue, bringing some relief with gentle winds in the city. However, the intensity of the heat is likely to decrease after March 12, as increased wind speed will help cool down the atmosphere, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported.
Temperature Drop Expected After March 12
The Met Office has predicted that temperatures will begin to decline from Wednesday, March 12, bringing slight relief to Karachi residents. While the city will see stronger winds, there is no chance of rainfall during this period.

Earlier, the Met Office had anticipated a rise in temperatures, with Karachi’s mercury hitting 38°C over the past few days. However, after March 12, cooler air currents are expected to ease the heat slightly.
Hot Weather Likely During Ramadan’s Final Days
Although the first ten days of Ramadan are expected to have relatively favorable weather, the Met Office has issued a heatwave warning for the final ten days of the holy month. Temperatures could rise to 40°C or higher, making it crucial for people to take necessary precautions, especially while fasting.
Other regions in Sindh are also expected to experience prolonged hot weather throughout Ramadan, with southern parts of the province likely to see temperatures reaching 40°C in the last ten days of the month.
Authorities advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and take precautions against extreme heat, especially during Ramadan’s final stretch when temperatures are predicted to peak.
