Pakistan and India are set to meet in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 after the Asian Cricket Council announced the complete tournament schedule. The highly anticipated group stage clash will take place on September 5 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The tournament will run from August 28 to September 13 in Dubai. All 15 matches, including the semifinals and final, will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan placed in Group A
Eight teams will compete in this year’s tournament. The ACC has divided them into two groups of four teams.
Pakistan will compete in Group A alongside defending champions India, Thailand, and Hong Kong, China. Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan will begin its campaign against Thailand on September 1. The team will then face India in the much awaited group stage encounter on September 5.
Pakistan will complete its group matches against Hong Kong, China, on September 7.
India will start its campaign against Thailand on August 30. The defending champions will then meet Hong Kong, China, on September 3 before facing Pakistan.
The group stage will determine which teams progress to the knockout rounds. Each team will play three matches against the other teams in its group.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. The Group A winner will face the Group B runner up in the first semifinal on September 10.
The second semifinal will take place on September 11. It will feature the Group A runner up against the Group B winner.
Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 schedule
The tournament will begin on August 28 when Thailand takes on Hong Kong, China. Sri Lanka will face the UAE the following day.
Other group stage matches include India against Thailand on August 30 and Bangladesh against Indonesia on August 31.
The Pakistan India encounter on September 5 will be one of the tournament’s biggest group stage fixtures. Both teams will look to secure a strong position in Group A and move closer to the semifinals.
Pakistan will then face Hong Kong, China, on September 7, while the remaining group matches will continue through September 8.
