Over the years, women have been associated with words such as delicate and compassionate because of which they were confined to perform specific chores only within the four walls of their houses. But this no longer seems to be the situation.

With the power to not only bring life into this world after God but also to nurture and shape the future generation, women are capable of doing diverse things. With technology spreading its wings across various corners of the world, women are provided with a platform to learn, to speak up for themselves and even start their own business!

This has lead women to bring accolades in various different fields. They have definitely made Pakistan proud because working in a male dominant environment is tough and requires some serious guts. Appointed as the new CEO and President of UBL, Sima Kamil is the first female CEO of any major bank in Pakistan. With a banking career spanning over 25 years, Sima is an all rounded leader with positions including head of branch banking, director of asset management at HBL and Chair of the Board of Governors of Karachi Grammar School.

Maheen Rahman
Turning a loss —making asset management company into a profitable acquisition target, Maheen leads Alfalah GHP Investment Management Ltd as its CEO. A LUMS graduate, she is the only Pakistani woman to make it to the Fortune’s list of ‘40 under the 40s: top ten women CEOs’ and is also the youngest head of an asset management company.
