Radhika Vaghela speaks her heart out this Women’s Day 2019

On this Women’s Day, i would like to begin by sharing a small portion of my daily lifestyle which I face being as a women. Before I move forward I would like to say that being as a minority and living in Pakistan I have been given all the rights to celebrate, from Eid and Ramadan to Diwali and Holi.  I feel proud and blessed to be a Pakistani and I would like to introduce myself as Radhika Vaghela.

Moving ahead, presenting myself as a women in our society its not an easy task at all. Facing different challenges & dealing with all the hard time to establish myself as an identity and to be where I am today especially when you are multi-tasking. Some will appreciate you some will idolize you some won’t like you and for some you don’t exist. I believe and understand that being a Feminist its equally important to maintain yourself and set boundaries where it is required. Not just to set boundaries and let yourself down just because someone else wants you to do so or may be just because you fear that what the society will think and people will judge you any how.

I was told that people talk about , the way you dress, the way you look ,I cannot go out late night I can not have male friends, I cannot work & all I did is i followed one simple rule is to give a deaf ear to all the negativity & no matter how hard I fall I will rise again.

Without taking more time I would move forward with a small poem that has expressed all my struggles and the story of my success so far.

Har waqt muskurahat thamay dil mein jazba aur hoosla palay
na janey kaisey karti hai .
Duniya sey larti hai, kyun?
Rookay sey na rokti hai
 
Beta Log kiya kaheynagay, seedhay betho, kitchen dekho, ajj atay huwa kisi kay saath dekha, safar kartey huwa ajj kisi ney chera, jaldi ajana halat theek nai hai larki hoo na janey log kiya kaheygay ?
 
Phir bhi buland hosala
din raat mehnat karkey apnay app ko iss qabil banaya
Society, Culture aur Tradition ,apnay maa baap ki seekh saath ley kar chali.
Tabhi ajj iss kabil bani
 
Safar asan nai tha, likin yeh safar akely mumkin bhi tu nai tha ….
Jo log chor gaye, jinhoon ney mujhe iss qabil na samjha unka sukriya
Aur jo saath hai unka bhi sukriya warna yeh safar apkay bina mumkin bhi tu nai hota.
