Pakistani students now have an exciting chance to study abroad at one of Asia’s most prestigious universities. The University of Tokyo has officially opened applications for the ADB Japan Scholarship Program 2026, a fully funded master’s scholarship designed for students from Asian Development Bank (ADB) member countries, including Pakistan.
What the Scholarship Offers
The ADB Japan Scholarship provides complete financial support for selected students pursuing master’s degrees. It includes full tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, travel expenses, medical insurance, and research or thesis support. This makes it one of the most comprehensive scholarships available, helping students focus on their academic and research goals without financial burden.
Applicants can choose programs under the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS), which includes Environmental Studies, Ocean Technology, International Studies, and Sustainability Science.
To qualify, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, have at least two years of full-time professional experience, and be under 35 years of age. They must also agree to return to their home country for at least two years. After completing their degree to contribute to national development.

How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit an online application form through the GSFS portal. Along with a detailed research and study plan, official transcripts, degree certificates, and two recommendation letters sent directly by referees. It is also mandatory to contact potential supervisors before applying and list up to five of them in the application.
The application deadline is December 10, 2025, with results of the initial screening expected by mid-February 2026. Final selections will be made in May, and classes will begin on October 1, 2026.
