A tragic incident unfolded in Attock’s Campbellpur Musa area when a tailor was shot dead after refusing to stitch an Eid dress, with another person severely injured in the same altercation, as reported by ARY News.
The accused, Mudassar, approached the tailor, Sajid, to request the sewing of an Eid outfit. When Sajid declined the request, the situation escalated. Mudassar, in a fit of rage, opened fire on both Sajid and another individual, Ehsan, who was present at the time.
According to police reports, Sajid was killed instantly, while Ehsan sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The police have launched a manhunt for Mudassar, who fled the scene after the incident.
Local authorities have condemned the violent act, stressing the need for resolving disputes peacefully. The tragic event has shocked the community as preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr are in full swing.
Eid-ul-Fitr, expected to be observed on March 31, 2025, after the completion of Ramadan, is a time of celebration. The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council has predicted that the Shawwal moon will be visible on the evening of March 30, provided weather conditions are favorable.
Police continue to investigate the case, urging the public to come forward with any information that could help apprehend the suspect.
