Umsha Couture is a boutique label founded by Uzma Babar in 2010 and specializing in pret, luxury couture, and bridals. Uzma has established an acute recognition among her discerning audience for the ability to work with traditional cultural artistry, merging design with an array of modern and classic cuts and drapery. Her brand Umsha; named after her two children; Umar and Aysha has developed rapidly from a small scale workshop to a popular commercially viable luxury label. Umsha is about creating clothes that blend beautiful designs with real world applicability. Uzma defines her designs as modern pieces of art painted with a traditional brush. She believes “women today want something modern, but cannot forgo the beauty of our tradition”.

Umsha by Uzma Babar collection for this season is about the blend of modern cuts and designs yet remaining loyal to cultural aesthetics. The color palette is focused on marsala, warm pastels with caramel and earthy tones. There is a subtle gold touch to the designs which gives the ensemble the finishing touch. Uzma Babar commented on her collection Floral Goddess “My collection is all about the fusion of modern cuts, designs and traditional artwork. The collection comprises of beautiful sheer fabric such as silk organza, voils, pure silk cotton net mid length shirts with peplum cuts and the hemlines adorned with pearls and botis. It is paired with structured slim cut brocade pants. The work and embellishments is primarily resham, tilla, cutwork, pearls, sequins, stones, crystals with a touch of kora and dabka”
