A few days ago, Pakistan Cricket Board launched a promotional campaign in anticipation of the Cricket World Cup 2023, showcasing the finest moments of Pakistan Cricket since its early days. However, the video faced backlash for omitting the former Pakistan captain Imran Khan, a pivotal figure in the 1992 World Cup champion team.
Soon after that Millions of Pakistanis raised their voice on social media and protested against IK being excluded from the tribute video. However, PCB released a revised video highlighting Imran Khan with a statement that said:-
”The PCB has launched a promotional campaign leading up to the CWC 2023. One of the videos was uploaded on 14th August 2023. Due to its length, the video was abridged and some important clips were missing. This has been rectified in the complete version of the video.”
