Motorbike Sales in Pakistan Decline By 10% During July-October 2023

The automotive landscape in Pakistan has experienced a notable downturn as the sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers recorded a 10.1% decrease during the first four months of the fiscal year 2023-24, spanning from July to October. According to data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), the sales figures paint a challenging picture for the industry, with 370,966 units sold compared to 412,825 during the same period in the previous fiscal year (2022-23).

Motorbike Sales in Pakistan Segment Analysis

Honda Motorcycles: Among the prominent players, the sale of Honda motorcycles saw a 6% decline, dropping from 345,381 units to 322,260 units during the months under review.

Suzuki Motorcycles: Suzuki faced a substantial setback with a staggering 63% decrease in sales, plummeting from 13,532 units to a mere 4,995 units.

Yamaha Motorbikes: Yamaha experienced a downturn as well, with sales decreasing from 4,856 units to 3,237 units, marking a 33.4% decrease.

Road Prince Motorbikes: The decline in sales for Road Prince motorbikes was particularly sharp, witnessing a 52% drop from 12,194 units to 5,851 units.

United Auto Motorcycles: United Auto, too, faced a setback, with sales decreasing by 6% from 30,337 units to 28,633 units.

Three-Wheeler Market

United Auto Three-Wheelers: United Auto’s three-wheeler sales exhibited a notable decline, dropping from 521 units to 106 units, signaling an 80.6% decrease.

Sazgar Three-Wheelers: In contrast, Sazgar’s three-wheelers experienced an upswing, witnessing a 33% increase from 2,907 units to 3,880 units.

Qingqi Three-Wheelers: The data indicates a 22% decline in the sales of Qingqi three-wheelers, with figures dropping from 1,977 units to 1,536 units.
