Malala Yousafzai offers Prayers and Sympathy on the tragic demise of Sabika Sheikh

“I offer prayers and sympathy to Sabika Sheikh’s family and the families of her fellow victims.

Sabika travelled far from home to learn and prepare for a career in public service. She dreamed of making Pakistan proud. It’s painful to see so many bright futures cut short in yet another school shooting. I hope leaders in the US, Pakistan and around the world will do justice to the lives of Sabika, her classmates and their teachers by doing more to stop violence in schools.” – Said Malala Yousafzai on the tragic death of Sabika Sheikh.

Sabika Sheikh, was a Pakistani exchange program student, studying in US who was shot dead on Friday evening in Texas.

The gunman, who opened fire was arrested on the spot on murder charges, and was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a 17-year-old junior at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas.

Our thoughts and prayers go out with Sabika’s family and friends on this tragic incident. May God grant her highest place in Jannah.
