Actor Luke Perry, best known for his roles in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale, passed away at the age of 52, after suffering a massive stroke. The actor was rushed to the hospital last week after reportedly suffering a stroke. His publicist said Perry died surrounded by his family and friends.
His publicist Arnold Robinson in a statement mentioned:
“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” Robinson said in a statement. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”
Luke Perry became a teen idol for playing Dylan McKay on the famous TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995, and again from 1998 to 2000. He also starred as Fred Andrews on the CW series Riverdale, and had guest roles on notable shows such as Criminal Minds, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Will & Grace.
