Karachi Water Supply Cut Off After Pipeline Burst at University

Karachi University has been flooded following the burst of a major water pipeline passing through the campus. The Water Corporation’s 84-inch pipeline broke, causing widespread flooding in the area. The incident was reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The pipeline burst has caused a disruption in the water supply to Karachi residents once again. As a result, water services have been cut off in various parts of the city. The university’s staff colony is at significant risk, with water rapidly entering the houses of staff members.

In response to the emergency, the university administration has begun evacuating the staff colony to ensure safety. Efforts are underway to mitigate the impact of the flooding and prevent further damage to property.

This pipeline was repaired under the supervision of the Chief Engineer WTM just before Ramadan, but the incident highlights the need for ongoing maintenance to prevent such disruptions.
