Karachi Hit-and-Run: Victims’ Family Opts for Forgiveness

The family of the victims involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident in Karachi has officially pardoned Natasha Danish, the accused, as stated in an affidavit submitted on Friday.

The affidavit emphasized that this choice was made willingly, without any external influence. Although it did not mention any financial settlement. It’s worth noting that “diyat,” or blood money, is a common practice in Pakistan for resolving such cases.

This new information will be considered by the court as the legal process continues.

The accident, caught on CCTV, had sparked significant public outcry, with many calling for justice. This latest development marks a significant step towards the case’s conclusion.
