Junaid Khan Talks About The High Price Actors Pay To Make It Real

For the 23^rd episode of Iftar Mulaqaat, Junaid Khan is the guest of honor. Hina Bayat hosts the show and Chef Shai is the resident Chef with extraordinary culinary skills.

Junaid Khan is one those people, whom success follows. From his college days when he joined ‘Call’, his band and gave out some pretty good hits to the time when he got nominated for the best actor award in various award ceremonies. Junaid has worked with some of the top tier names of the showbiz industry.

When he was asked about his secret to such amazing acting skills, he said that the key was to get out of yourself and getting into the character. He said that at times the character is totally opposite to his own self, but still understanding their motives help him act realistically.

Junaid mentioned one of his toughest roles where he had to get out of himself and do something he’s never done before.

“I actually had to beat Sanam Saeed, because we had to do it as a part of the scene.”

That was something so out of his own character that Junaid still reels when he thinks of it. He has always been a gentle person and it took a lot of practice to get into that role.

“And honestly I had never hit a man much less a woman.”

He then moved on to describe that he had to learn and get to the part where a person gets so low and hits another being. Especially when men raise their hands on women they’re supposed to protect.

“I think it’s a man’s own insecurity where he decides to revert to domestic violence.”
