Islamabad Plans Five Star Hotels Under Zero Tax Policy

The federal government has announced a major development plan to transform Islamabad into a modern global city. The plan focuses on attracting investment and strengthening the hospitality sector. It also aims to improve infrastructure across the capital.

The government shared these decisions during a high level meeting. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the session at the Capital Development Authority headquarters. During the meeting, officials reviewed ongoing projects and discussed future development plans.

Zero tax policy to attract investment

First, the government introduced a zero tax policy for hotels. This step aims to encourage both local and international investors. As a result, the hospitality sector may see faster growth in the coming years.

In addition, authorities plan to support five star hotel construction through joint ventures. These partnerships will involve international companies. Consequently, the government expects improved quality and global standards in hotel development.

Officials believe that tax relief will increase private sector participation. Moreover, they expect it to create new opportunities for tourism and business travel.

Five star hotel projects and development work

The meeting also reviewed progress on an ongoing five star hotel project. This project involves collaboration with the Employees Old Age Benefits Institution. Officials instructed teams to speed up construction and ensure timely completion.

Meanwhile, the government also approved a detailed land and property survey. The Survey of Pakistan will carry out this work. This step will improve record accuracy and strengthen transparency in land management.

Furthermore, a dedicated marketing team will promote upcoming auctions. This team will highlight investment opportunities and attract more investors. As a result, participation in development projects is expected to increase.

Urban development and emergency systems

In another decision, authorities approved a central control room for emergency services. This system will connect with the Safe City Islamabad network. Therefore, emergency response times are expected to improve significantly.
