Imran Khan declared better PM as compared to previous PMs in 15 Years

An online survey conducted by Khaleej Magazine rated Imran Khan as a better prime minister as compared to the previous previous PMs of Pakistan in last 15 Years. The poll conducted revealed that Imran Khan is number one choice of people of Pakistan.

Out of 16,041 voters, 92.2% says Imran Khan is a better PM as compared to the previous PMs. As per the results, more than 93% people voted for PM Imran Khan, while former prime minister Nawaz Sharif secured 4.7% votes and Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf secured 0.8% votes.

Last year PM Imran Khan also made it to the TIME magazine list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2019. The list chooses influential people from under four categories that include: leaders, pioneers, artists, icons and titans.

Journalist Ahmed Rashid wrote the following regarding Prime Minister Imran Khan for Time‘s 100 most influential people issue:-

“Pakistan is at a critical crossroads, and the man in charge is the closest it has to a rock star. Imran Khan captained the team that won the 1992 Cricket World Cup, built a world-class cancer hospital in Lahore, then a top-notch university for kids who could never have dreamed of attending one. Twenty years ago, he entered politics—a dirty business in Pakistan at the best of times. Now he is Prime Minister of an impoverished nation that cannot pay its bills and is dependent on handouts from rich neighbours like China and the Arab Gulf states. Critics say Khan is too close to the army and Islamic fundamentalists, and chooses advisers poorly. Driven by fierce ambition, he can be cold and calculating. But he still generates the broadest hope among young and old that he can turn Pakistan around, and help make South Asia an ocean of peace rather than a state of permanent conflict.”

Earlier this year, the business community in Pakistan also expressed its optimism for improvement in the country’s economic conditions under the leadership of PM Imran Khan according to the first edition of the Business Optimism Index released by Dun & Bradstreet, a global database and risk management company.
