Forex rates 4th Jan 2022: The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 23 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday to close at Rs176.74 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 176.51.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs177.6 and Rs179.5 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by 04 paisas and closed at Rs199.67 against the last day’s trading of Rs199.63, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs1.52, whereas an increase of 21 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs238.49 as compared to its last closing of Rs238.28.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 06 paisas to close at Rs48.11 and Rs47.07 respectively.
