CAKE is the story of a Sindhi family living in Karachi.  Its about the sister duo of Zara (played by Sanam Saeed) who leaves for London some years ago due to some reasons, Zareen (played by Aamina Sheikh) is the head of the family who takes care of the entire family and leads from the front). Moreover, a family drama with elements of suspense, family conflicts, hidden secrets, sibling rivalries and the twists and turns that follow when they reunite to tackle their family conflicts.

Piya Tu (Monica) by Asha Bhosle & R.D. Burman from Pakistani Film CAKE

Asim Abbasi does a remarkable job as debutant director, as from the direction, to the screenplay, cinematography, music and acting , his team killed it with perfection making it the best film released in recent times and here we are talking not just in Pakistan but also in comparison to the films released across the border. The stellar cast of CAKE did a brilliant job with acting Aamina Sheikh (as Zareen lead the story from the front with breathtaking performance), Adnan Malik (played the innocent Romeo with perfection), Sanam Saeed (as Zara was as good as ever playing mindblowing emotions powered role), Beo Rana Zafar (plays the mother who will make you laugh & cry throughout, excellent performance), Mohammad Ahmed (heart of the film as father did a performance worth applaud) and Faris Khalid (who plays the brother of the sister duo, justified his role well). Adding cherry on top the music & soundtrack of CAKE by Sketches the band is mesmerizing that connects with the storyline, even though the tracks are in Sindhi yet they are sure to leave a mark, depicting the culture and essence of Sindh.
