Zaman Khan Called Up as Replacement for Naseem Shah in Asia Cup Squad

In the ongoing Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023, Zaman Khan, a right-arm fast bowler, has been selected as a replacement for Naseem Shah in Pakistan’s 17-player squad. Zaman officially joined the team on Wednesday morning and has commenced training with the squad.

According to a spokesperson from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Naseem Shah sustained a right shoulder injury during the match against India. He is currently under the close supervision of the team’s medical panel, which is taking all necessary precautions, considering the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

As for Haris Rauf, who opted not to bowl on the reserve day of the Pakistan vs. India contest as a precautionary measure, he is progressing well in his recovery after experiencing discomfort in his right flank on the first day of the match.
