The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the final results of the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the academic year 2022. Out of the total candidates who appeared for the test, the bottom 10% of candidates were eligible for the NET Tier-2 category. Candidates who appeared for the test but did not qualify for the Tier-2 category will now be able to apply for the NET Tier-3 category.

The pass rate for undergraduate admissions in institutes of technology (IT) and universities was 84.5 percent and the pass rate for postgraduate admissions was 73.2 percent. The pass rate for admissions into medical and dental colleges was 73.1 percent.
The pass rate for admissions into engineering and architecture colleges was 82.5 percent and the pass rate for admissions into law colleges was 67.5 percent. The pass rate for admissions into management colleges was 66.7 percent.
The number of students who qualified for undergraduate admissions in institutes of technology and universities was 1,052,898 and the number of students who qualified for postgraduate admissions was 720,898. The number of students who qualified for medical and dental college admissions was 1,361,380. The number of students who qualified for engineering and architecture college admissions was 1,227,118.
The number of students who qualified for law college admissions was 472,998. The number of students who qualified for management college admissions was 406,698.
