A passenger plane operated by Angara Airlines has gone missing in Russia’s Far East, carrying nearly 50 people, including several children. The aircraft, an AN-24 model, vanished from radar while en route to the Chinese city of Tynda.
According to regional governor Vasily Orlov, the missing flight had 43 passengers on board, including five children, and six crew members. The aircraft suddenly lost contact with air traffic control, prompting an immediate response from emergency teams.
