The Pakistani Rupee faced a minor setback against the US dollar on Thursday, dropping by 10 paisa in the interbank trading session to close at Rs 278.20 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.10.
The Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reported that in the open market, the buying and selling rates of the dollar were recorded at Rs 277.00 and Rs 279.80 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Euro maintained its position at Rs 298.62 according to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
In other currency updates, the Japanese Yen saw a slight decrease of 1 paisa, trading at Rs 1.78 compared to the previous rate of Rs 1.79. On the other hand, the British Pound experienced a rise of Rs 0.30, closing at Rs 347.11 against the previous rate of Rs 346.81.
The Emirates Dirham increased by 3 paisa while the Saudi Riyal went up by 2 paisa, trading at Rs 75.74 and Rs 74.17 respectively.
