Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has been deported from the United Kingdom after British authorities abruptly cancelled his visa over nondisclosure of legal cases. He was placed on a special flight back to Pakistan early on December 9, 2025, following an official removal order issued by the UK Home Office.
According to UK immigration officials, Butt failed to mention ongoing cases against him while applying for his visa. This omission reportedly violated entry-clearance rules, prompting an investigation into his documentation. His visa was ultimately revoked despite investigators clearing him of earlier terrorism-related suspicions that surfaced after anonymous complaints.
The YouTuber had been detained in the UK along with fellow influencer Nadeem Naniwala earlier this month. Both were questioned, and while terrorism allegations did not hold, immigration scrutiny continued due to inconsistencies in Butt’s paperwork.
Following the cancellation of his visa, authorities instructed him to leave the UK immediately. He departed the same morning, creating a wave of reaction across social media. Many fans expressed shock and sympathy, while critics referenced his previous controversies back home, including blasphemy-related FIRs and cybercrime complaints linked to promotional content.
IHC Grants Him Protective Bail
Shortly after news of his deportation broke, another major development emerged in Pakistan. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted protective bail to Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala on December 9, 2025. A single-judge bench led by Justice Raja Inam Amin ruled that both individuals could not be arrested upon arrival at Islamabad Airport. The court has ordered them to appear in person the following day.

Their lawyer, Ahad Khokhar, represented them in court, seeking temporary protection due to multiple cases registered against them across the country. These include cybercrime allegations and accusations of illicit online promotional activities.
Supporters have welcomed the IHC decision, calling it necessary to ensure a fair legal process. Critics, however, insist that the ongoing investigations must continue without interruption.
