PSX loses 635 points to close at 43,731 points

PSX Summary 16th Dec 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Thursday, losing 635.66 points, with a negative change of 1.43 percent, closing at 43,731.20 points against 44,366.86 points on the last working day.

A total of 312,071,202 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 398,094,982 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 10.122 billion against Rs 11.654 billion the previous day.

As many as 345 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 86 of them recorded gain and 248 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 11 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 49,185,000 shares and price per share of Rs 2.21, Telecard Limited with a volume of 30,929,000 and price per share of Rs15.75 and Byco Petroleum with volume of 18,967,500 and price per share of Rs 6.44.

Blessed Tex witnessed a maximum increase of Rs31.21 per share, closing at Rs447.46 whereas the runner up was Mari Petroleum, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs17.26 to Rs1673.72.

Unilever Foods witnessed maximum decrease of Rs 949.99 closing Rs19000 followed by Rafhan Maize, the share price of which declined by Rs 300 to close at Rs 9500.
