Be Kind Movement hosts International Fashion Designer and Celebrity Stylist Pria Kataaria Puri’s exclusive London Pop-Up debut in aid of the Girl Child.
Be Kind Movement, a UK registered charity, hosted a Fashion Pop-up during the day for the general public followed by a private and exclusive Champagne Reception at the prestigious The Mandeville Hotel in London to raise funds for the Girl Child’s Education Program in India. Guests from the world of media, business and politics mingled over champagne and canapés whilst enjoying the stunning collection of luxury clothes and accessories by British and Asian designers.
Pria Kataaria Puri’s vibrant collection of glamorous signature kaftans, blouses, palazzo sets, dresses, sarees was complemented beautifully by an exquisite and luxurious collection of jewellery, shawls, scarves and shoes provided by designer labels Chahat Jewellery, Leanne Claxton, Lucy Choi, Rubina Kapoor and Zevar.
Raffle prizes and a silent auction contributed towards an ongoing scholarship fund for higher education of girls aged 14 years and upwards. The fund, in it’s 16th year, has provided 1000 scholarships to date for girls from economically weak backgrounds and this project will benefit 416 girls from the Indian villages of Mumbai & Goa. “Our aim is to make women self-sufficient and financially independent so they are free to pursue their dreams and ambitions beyond patriarchal boundaries and live a life on equal parity with men. Only then will India genuinely be ‘Shining’,” said Premila Puri Makh, Founder of Be Kind Movement. Event sponsors included Ayurveda Pura, Chin’s Kitchen, Occasion Car Hire, Ash Kaur Hair & Make up and The Mandeville Hotel.
