In preparation for Eid-ul-Azha, Lahore will establish five temporary cattle market locations to help with the buying and selling of sacrificial animals. The Lahore Cattle Management Company is organizing the markets, and the district administration is finalizing their locations.
The Wagah Zone market will be set up at the Sports Complex, located near Adda Rakh Chabeel. In the Nishtar Zone, the market will be at LDA City, near Kana Kacha on Defence Road. For the Ravi Zone, the market will be at Mouza Nain Sukh, near Saggian Bridge. The Cantonment Zone will have its market on Burki Road, near Paragon City. Lastly, the Raiwind Zone market will be located at Haveli Markaz, near Spring Mill in Sundar.
These markets aim to provide a smooth and organized environment for trading sacrificial animals during the festive season. The new locations will reduce congestion in residential areas, improving the overall buying and selling experience for the public.
These temporary facilities also ensure better management of the animal trade, especially during a busy time like Eid-ul-Azha. The markets will remain active for the duration of the festive season, offering a convenient solution for the large number of people looking to purchase sacrificial animals.
By setting up markets at strategic cattle market locations, the district administration aims to keep the city organized during this high-demand time. The public can expect efficient animal trading in these markets, making the festival preparations much easier for all involved.
