Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has reportedly replaced Kiara Advani in the upcoming action thriller Don 3, opposite Ranveer Singh. This comes after Kiara Advani, who recently announced her pregnancy with husband Sidharth Malhotra, decided to step down from the role to prioritize her personal life and well-being.
Kriti Sanon, the National Award-winning actress, was one of the top contenders for the role alongside Advani. Now, she takes over the coveted position of the leading lady in Don 3. According to reports, Sanon has already given her approval for the project and will soon be finalizing her contract.
Sources close to the development say that Farhan Akhtar and the creative team at Excel Entertainment were keen on casting an experienced actress with a strong screen presence. Kriti Sanon fits the role perfectly, with her commanding aura making her the ideal choice to portray Roma in the film. “She has the aura to play Roma on screen, and is excited to sign the dotted line soon,” said an insider.
Don 3 will mark the final film in the franchise. Which began with the 2006 reboot Don: The Chase Begins Again, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production banner, Excel Entertainment, confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be continuing the legacy of the action-packed series in the upcoming installment, titled The Chase Ends.
