The gold market witnessed a significant surge today, July 12, 2024, with notable increases in both local and international rates. According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola of 24 karat gold escalated by Rs. 2,200, bringing the new price to Rs. 249,000. This marks an increase from the previous trading day’s rate of Rs. 246,800.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold experienced an increase of Rs. 1,886, with the new rate standing at Rs. 213,477 compared to Rs. 211,591 previously. Additionally, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw an upward movement, reaching Rs. 195,687 from the earlier rate of Rs. 193,959.
Despite the hike in gold prices, the rates for silver remained stable. The price per tola and 10 grams of silver held steady at Rs. 2,900 and Rs. 2,486.28, respectively.
On the international front, gold prices also showed an upward trend. The price of gold in the international market climbed to $2,404, up from the previous rate of $2,382.
