Sui Southern Gas Company has issued a special gas supply schedule for domestic and commercial consumers during Eid ul Azha. The arrangement aims to ensure smooth availability of gas during peak cooking hours over the three day holiday period.
According to SSGC, gas supply will remain available on the eve of Eid until midnight. The company confirmed that uninterrupted supply will be provided from 7:30 am to 12 am on the first and second days of Eid.
Gas timings adjusted for Eid days
On the third day of Eid, gas supply will be available until 10 pm. After this time, regular load management schedules will be resumed across the network.
SSGC stated that the adjusted timings are designed to support increased domestic usage during Eid ul Azha. Families typically require higher gas supply for cooking and food preparation during the festive days.
The company also announced that normal gas supply schedules will be restored from May 30. After this date, consumers will again receive gas during standard designated meal timings.
Eid ul Azha preparations across the country
Pakistan is set to observe Eid ul Azha on May 27 following the official moon sighting announcement by the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee. The confirmation of Zilhaj moon sighting led to the declaration of three public holidays by the federal government.

During Eid ul Azha, demand for gas typically increases due to cooking activities related to sacrificial meat preparation. Authorities often adjust supply schedules to manage peak consumption more effectively.
