The Sindh government has introduced a new code of conduct for the collection of Qurbani animal hides during Eid ul Adha 2026. Officials say the measures will improve transparency, strengthen security, and stop unauthorized collection activities across the province.
The Sindh Home Department issued the notification ahead of Eid preparations. Authorities will monitor collection activities throughout the holiday period.
Registered organizations can collect hides
Only registered welfare organizations and madrassas can collect animal skins during Eid ul Adha. These groups must first get permission from commissioners and deputy commissioners before starting collection activities.
The government has banned unregistered groups from collecting hides. Authorities also warned banned organizations against operating under different names.
Officials say the new rules will help regulate collection activities more effectively across Sindh.
Govt bans camps and loudspeaker announcements
The Sindh government has also restricted public promotion related to hides collection.
Authorities will not allow collection camps or banners across the province. The notification also bans loudspeaker announcements connected to collection campaigns.
Officials have stopped organizations from displaying flags on vehicles during Eid activities.
The government says these steps will reduce public disturbance and improve crowd management during the busy Eid holidays.
Police to take strict action against violators
Authorities have warned against forceful hides collection and illegal fundraising activities.
Police will register cases immediately against anyone violating the rules. Officials say authorities will hand over confiscated hides to approved welfare organizations.
The government wants to prevent misuse and ensure that only authorized groups participate in collection activities.
Additional security measures announced
Karachi authorities have also announced extra Eid security measures. Officials have banned carrying licensed weapons from 10th to 12th Zil Hajj.
The restriction aims to strengthen public safety during Eid celebrations.
