Rupee continues upward trend against dollar

Exchange rate of Pak Rupee weakened by Rs 2.65 against the US Dollar 

Dollar rates 18th May 2022: Exchange rate of Pak Rupee weakened by Rs 2.65 against the US Dollar in the interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs198.39 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 195.74.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs199 and Rs 201 respectively.

The price of Euro was appreciated by Rs3.77 and closed at Rs 208.69 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 204.92.

The Japanese Yen gained two paisa to close at Rs 1.53, whereas an increase of Rs2.64 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 246.05  as compared to its last closing of Rs 243.41.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 70 paisas to close at Rs54.01 and Rs52.88 respectively.
