Strategic Reforms Unit, Chief Minister’s Office has recently launched a TVC highlighting their Women on Wheels campaign.Female immobility is a major obstacle in women empowerment in Pakistan. It is a pushing factor in widening the economic gap and increasing gender inequality. To counter these problems, Strategic Reforms Unit initiated a campaign, Women-on-Wheels (WoW). Over 3000 women have been successfully trained through this campaign since its launch in 2016 in 5 districts of Punjab.
As part of the campaign women are given the opportunity to avail a customized motorbike (HONDA CD 70 DREAM) at a subsidized rate and get free of cost motorbike trainings by our experienced female Punjab Traffic Police Officers. 3000 motorbikes will be distributed among the women. Beneficiaries of the scheme will be decided through a transparent balloting process. The Call for Applications is now open
