Zubab Rana
Zubab Rana is one of the finest actresses we have. In the first few episodes her performance has stood out and we think she just might be the best thing about the show. The audience loved her in her previous show “Bandish.” Let us see if Zubab manages to wow the audience this time around too.
The Plot
The show is written by the late Syed Atif Hussain and deals with the sensitive topic of “dowry” It was an issue which should have been introduced on TV screens way earlier but dair Aaye dursust aaye. Zubab plays the role of a girl who is a victim to one of the society’s sickening evil, dehaij. However, it is also a topic that has to be dealt with very carefully and has to be well executed for it to take the message across.
There are many young girls in Pakistan who suffer because of the lack of dowry and it is high time their plight is addressed. It is time we tell our men that it is not okay to take jehaiz even if the girl’s family insists. We must all make an effort to nib this evil and Rishtay Biktay Hain is not too shabby a start.
