The Religious Scholar Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi Passed Away

KARACHI: Renowned religious scholar Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi died after cardiac arrest in Karachi, citing family sources, ARY News announced on Saturday.

The family sources said Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi, a religious figure, had died from cardiac arrest. He was rushed to a private hospital where he’d breathed his last.

After the Maghrib, Syed’s body will be moved to Shuhada-e-Karbala Imambargah in Ancholi region for funeral prayers. He was 76 years old.

He was born in India’s Lucknow on March 24-1944 and wrote several novels. The scholar was renowned for his lectures on various subjects, while Naqvi also performed duties as editor-in-chief of a magazine, Al-Qalam, and Mir Anees Academy president.

Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi was born on 24 March 1944, and he was a Pakistani scholar, religious leader, public speaker, and Urdu poet. Akhtar was born in 1944 to Syed Zahir Hasan Naqvi and Syeda Mohsina Zahir Naqvi in Lucknow, India. His last name was Hasan Zameer. He migrated to Pakistan in 1967 and settled permanently in Karachi. He studied in Hussainabad School (matric) and Jubilee College of Education, Lucknow, India (inter). Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi graduated from “Lucknow Shia College”

Akhtar was an author of over 300 books in diverse fields, including literature, culture, faith, philosophy, logic, journalism, sociology, science, oratory, and language. His lectures were focused on science, philosophy, history, and computer technology, and often include more varied topics like versatility, assessment, future stories, contemporary issues, and current affairs

He was the president of the Mir Anees Academy and the editor-in-chief of Al-Qalam quarterly magazine.
