Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has expressed strong disappointment after videos of her new home under construction surfaced online without her consent. Taking to her official social media, the actress addressed the issue and called it a “serious invasion of privacy” and a potential security threat.
The videos, reportedly filmed without permission, show parts of Alia’s new residence in Mumbai. According to her statement, several publications and online platforms recorded and circulated these visuals without informing her or seeking approval.
Alia Bhatt Calls Out Violation of Personal Space
In her post, Alia emphasized that recording or sharing visuals of someone’s private space without consent is unacceptable. “A video of our home, still under construction, has been recorded and circulated without our knowledge or permission. This is not content; it’s a violation,” she wrote.
The actress also urged media outlets and fans to avoid sharing these videos and requested those who have already uploaded the footage to remove it immediately.
A Growing Concern Around Celebrity Privacy
This isn’t the first time Bollywood celebrities have faced privacy violations, but Alia Bhatt’s response highlights how intrusive unauthorized filming has become. With paparazzi culture growing rapidly, personal boundaries are often crossed — especially when it involves homes, families, and private lives.
The actress concluded her statement by appealing to the media to act responsibly and respect personal spaces. “I request everyone to take these images and videos down. We shouldn’t normalize invading anyone’s privacy,” she added.
