Spotify has introduced SongDNA, a new feature that changes how users explore music. It gives listeners a deeper look into the creative process behind every track. The feature is now rolling out in beta for Premium users.
SongDNA highlights the people and elements behind a song. It shows writers, producers, and collaborators. In addition, it reveals samples, interpolations, and cover versions. As a result, users can better understand how a track comes together.

SongDNA Adds New Layer to Music Exploration
Spotify placed SongDNA directly inside the Now Playing screen on its mobile app. While listening, users can scroll down to find the SongDNA section. From there, they can tap and explore detailed insights.
Moreover, the feature turns listening into an interactive experience. Users can follow links to related songs and contributors. This approach helps them discover new music in a more engaging way.
To use SongDNA, users need to open the Now Playing view first. Then, they scroll to the SongDNA card. After that, they tap to explore the available details. The process remains simple and easy to follow.

Previously, Spotify offered the About the Song feature. However, SongDNA takes this further. It creates a network of connections around each track. Therefore, users can move beyond basic information and explore deeper links.
The rollout has already started for Premium users on iOS and Android. Meanwhile, Spotify plans to expand access to all Premium users soon. The company expects a wider release by April.
This update shows Spotify’s focus on innovation. It aims to improve user engagement through interactive tools. At the same time, it strengthens the connection between listeners and music.

As streaming platforms evolve, discovery features become more important. In this context, SongDNA adds a new dimension to music exploration. It allows users to interact with songs in a more meaningful way.
Overall, Spotify continues to expand its platform with user-focused features. With SongDNA, the company offers a more dynamic and informative listening experience for audiences worldwide.
